Tara Ross
Welcome to Ross Solutions, LLC!
I am the owner of Ross Solutions, LLC and an independently licensed professional clinical counselor. My work focuses on repairing and strengthening relationships, helping couples and families learn how to communicate openly and effectively, not only through speaking but also through listening.
Traditionally, therapy is between two people: therapist and patient. Through the practice of marriage and family therapy, the more people involved in the therapy process the greater the chances are for positive change to occur. Working systemically, or with more than one person, allows the opportunity for you and your loved one(s) to get on the same page, working together toward setting, and achieving the same goal(s).
During our journey toward improving our relationships it is also beneficial to explore the relationship we are maintaining with ourselves. I also work with individuals having difficulty managing daily stress, anxiety, and/or depressive symptoms, trauma, anger, mood disorders, overwhelming emotions, low self-esteem, and navigating through life adjustments.
The relationship we have with ourselves, and the relationships we have at home, is the foundation to who we are. It impacts who we allow into our lives, who we spend our time with, how we allow others to treat us, how we approach our responsibilities in life, at work, and at school, what we do in our spare time, and … ultimately, how we treat the world around us. We are all connected, in constant motion, influencing one another. My goal is to empower my clients to embrace their self worth and know their value because once we find peace and acceptance within ourselves we are in a better place to nurture others.
I received a Master in Arts degree in Counseling/Marriage and family Therapy from the University of Akron. Since graduation, I have worked in private practice under supervision while working toward independent licensure. Prior to that I practiced as an intern at St. Thomas Hospital’s Psychiatric Ward (meeting with patients and their families creating safety plans prior to release), at the C.P. and Cornelia Chima Family Center / The Clinic for Individual and Family Counseling Center at the University of Akron (working with individuals, couples, and families and co-leading an anger management group) and at Akron Children’s Hospital (co-leading their Good Mourning Series assisting teens managing grief).
It is an honor and a privilege to join you and your loved ones on your journey toward personal growth and better mental health.
