I’m Rikki Patton, PhD, and I look forward to joining you on your journey towards growth and healing. I have practiced at Family Connection since March 2015 and am the owner of Family Connection 5. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist (MFT) in Ohio and specialize in working with individuals, couples, and families experiencing a variety of issues, including:

-Navigating various life transitions

-Balancing anxiety

-Reducing depression

-Helping couples and families change their “dance” by improving communication and connectedness

-Helping individuals, couples, and families understand and heal from the impact of substance use (I have several scholarly publications related to substance abuse).
 
I understand that each person exists in a web of relationships and that their success and growth occurs in this relational context. We are each traveling our life journey - my hope is to help each person I work with to navigate their current path, and to help them develop the skills to continue their journey once we are done working together. I believe in the importance of connectedness and meaning, and this belief guides my approach as a therapist.
